Developed to continuously monitor in-pipe drinking water, the IntellisondeTM is a small water quality monitor that can be inserted into pressurised pipes to monitor up to 12 parameters.
Michal Ruzicka, from Bratislava-based ECO, explained that the IntellisondeTM will have a significant impact in how drinking water is monitored and managed in Slovakia.
He said: "Until now, distribution network operators have had no information on chlorine levels in remote parts of the water pipe network across Slovakia. The IntellisondeTM will now play a key role in helping to rectify this. It is our aim to educate and convince water authorities of the importance of monitoring chlorination levels at key points of the pipe network, which will help to improve the quality of drinking water in the country.
"This is the first time such a product has been available in Slovakia and we are confident it will be a great success."
Intellitect Water CEO Tony Halker added: "We are delighted to announce details of our new distribution partnership for Slovakia, as part of an ongoing programme to ensure that this new technology is available to all water providers worldwide. This programme is supported by local businesses with the skills and experience to ensure water authorities are able to maximise the benefits that this new technology provides."
Other industries for which the IntellisondeTM is targeted include food and beverage, power, health, automotive, pharmaceutical, aerospace, biotechnology and research.
